Volunteers Needed for Faith-Based Dorms: “Today’s Inmates are tomorrow’s Neighbors”
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is looking for Volunteers, Churches, or Organizations that would have an interest in sponsoring a Faith-Based Dorm.
“Faith-based programs seek to change the values and attitudes of offenders by building new spiritual and moral foundations from within. Anchored in biblical teachings, many programs stress personal responsibility, the value of education, work, family and property, and a life with Christ.“~Pastor Charles Lewis “CL” Jackson~
Faith-Based Dorms are a critical component in helping offenders that will one day be released back into everyday society. Without the proper skills, and proper relationship with Jesus, re-entry into society can be an extremely difficult obstacle to overcome. That is why Faith-Based programs are so crucial within the TDCJ volunteer program. If you have an interest in becoming a volunteer, or in sponsoring a Faith-Based Dorm, please contact the TDCJ Volunteer Services Department at dams∂tdcj.texas.gov">Ishara.McAdams∂tdcj.texas.gov.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to view our message. Please feel free to share with anyone you know who may be interested in volunteering their time and services.
Always remember that together, through faith, we can change lives.
Amen
