Disciples 4 Christ is a coalition of ministries under the direction of Susan Neyra. Committed volunteers, combined with the power of the Holy Spirit, provide invaluable services and support to inmates and their families. Through worship services, crusades, and prayer, it is our objective to empower inmates with the Word of God so that they become disciples for Christ while incarcerated and beyond. It is through our programs that we encourage inmates to understand that they can have a successful, purposeful prison term through the empowering love and forgiveness of Christ. We teach inmates to view their sentence, and the remaining of their lives, through the understanding of:
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
By teaching inmates to seek and know God’s will, we also encourage inmates to be transformed by the miraculous power of faith. Faith in God, faith in Christ, faith in the Word, and faith in themselves as instructed in Romans 10:17 “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”
We also support inmates by teaching life skills, recovery classes, and providing re-entry resources when they are needed. Along with family-oriented programs designed to strengthen the family bond, Disciples 4 Christ’s programs help inmates lead productive lives both within the gates and when they return to society.
