A huge thank you to all who covered our Hilltop Moments with Mom event in prayer! Last Saturday was one of the most awesome events we’ve had at Hilltop!! God blessed us with a day that ran so seamlessly, and being able to stick to our schedule helped tremendously in getting the most out of the time we had there! Everyone did their part and the moms and their families had such a great time!
We had a wonderful turnout of volunteers this time, with 18 people showing up to lend a hand and make this a very special day for the 23 families that participated. We were also very blessed to have 12 ladies from Hilltop, who were so helpful and willing to do whatever we asked them to do! They had the room thoroughly decked out in Fiesta themed decor which helped make the atmosphere very fun and festive! During our time of reflection these helpers mentioned how it touched their hearts to see these moms having a great day reconnecting with their kids.
So many fun activities were had throughout the day! The women and their children had a blast at the craft table while others were enjoying a rousing game of Yahtzee with fun oversized nerf dice to throw around. The Bingo game was also a big hit with popcorn and candy for prizes.
The fresh air and beautiful weather made the outdoor activities so enjoyable! The families participated in relay races, Tic Tac Toe, Bocce Ball, Connect 4, and Cookie Face. The kids loved the Easter egg hunt and putting all the eggs they collected in their bunny bags! Each family enjoyed tacos and fixings for lunch! A movie in the afternoon and table games rounded out their time together.
As always, it was hard for them to say goodbye, but we know this day gave them lots of precious memories of time spent together for them to cherish forever!
Thank you so much to all our volunteers for your hard work and dedication to make sure this event ran smoothly and was enjoyed by everyone. We loved getting to have the warden with us most of the day, so we appreciate the time she spent with us. We feel like God allowed this wonderful day to possibly open up other ministry opportunities at Hilltop, so we’re excited about that.
