What an amazing day we had with the ladies of Hilltop!
We had 77 ladies show up ready to participate in our Victory Over Darkness workshop. The day started with a great time of worship, followed by 4 sessions of teaching and break-out sessions where our volunteers shared discussion questions with the ladies at their tables. The women enjoyed the pastries and coffee we provided for a morning break and were really excited to see they were getting pizza for lunch! Each of our sessions taught by our volunteers, Shuwan, Jessy, Chastity, and Tilly were incredible! These ladies taught and shared scriptures related to…
…our topic of the day: the importance of knowing our true identity…who God says you are!
They also were transparent with moving testimonies of their own struggles and the faithfulness of God in their lives, which brought tears to all our eyes. We were happy to see that the ladies were so receptive and really engaged in all the discussions. A powerful time of prayer at the end saw one of the ladies giving her life to Jesus and many more getting individual prayer and ministry from our volunteers.
Every one of the ladies that came told us repeatedly how much this day meant to them and how encouraged they were and empowered by the Word they heard!
We appreciate every volunteer who participated and so willingly showed the magnificent love of God to these precious women! Thank you also to our other table leaders….Melissa, Becky, Brooke, DeAnne, and Kathy. A special thank you to our male volunteer, Mike, who worked hard all day long taking pictures, picking up and serving food and in any other way he was needed. He was our example for the ladies today that there are still wonderful men of God around! The cheers from the women at the end let us know that they thoroughly enjoyed this day, and we left with so much joy in our hearts knowing that God allowed us to be a part of His beautiful plans and purposes for these women.
